I have over 10 years of experience in the cultural heritage sector in both not-for-profit and private settings. I have experience in digitization, collections management, exhibit development and grant writing. I am the currently the Chair of the Programming Outreach and Community Engagement Committee (PaCE) for the Kingston Association of Museums, Art Galleries and Historic Sites. In this role I organize create and participate in heritage based outreach events within the Kingston community. I am a strong advocate for experiential learning and actively work to mentor and provide unique opportunities for volunteers, students and interns that I have supervised. I believe strongly that the inclusion of often untold stories and narratives are an important part of modern museum practices.
Over the course of my career, I have been involved with a variety of projects including exhibit renewal, database digitization and grant writing. I have worked at the Murney Tower Museum National Historic Site of Canada, the Agnes Etherington Art Centre and with a private collector. I have presented at the Ontario Museum Annual Conference in 2019 and the Canadian Museum Associate Conference in 2016.
